Leadership Investment for Tomorrow (LIFT)

Established by local donors, the Leadership Investment For Tomorrow (LIFT) grant has been created with one specific purpose – to provide tuition incentives to Jewish families who want their children to experience a Day School education.

Beginning in the school year 2007-2008, the LIFT grant will be available through 2009-2010. Families with a Kindergartner, First Grade and/or Sixth grade student enrolled in MJGDS are eligible to receive the grant, with tuition incentives of $2,000 for Kindergarten, $3,000 for First Grade, and $1,000 for Sixth grade respectively.

To participate in the LIFT program, parents will select one of the following options:

• Accept the incentive in full

• Utilize a portion of the incentive

• Decline the incentive entirely

Any incentive that is not used will return to the Fund, so that additional families may receive the tuition incentive in the years to follow. Tuition assistance will continue to be available to families of all students, including LIFT recipients.

The LIFT Fund was established at the Jacksonville Jewish Foundation, a Jacksonville-based agency whose mission is to develop endowment funds and planned gifts in support of the local Jewish community.
