"A home away from home is how I would describe what the Martin J. Gottlieb Day School means to us.

We are a new family to the Day School and have been in Jacksonville for a little over a year now.

When moving here, we put our older son in a public elementary school and our younger son in the Jacksonville Jewish Center's Preschool's VPK program.

During the year, we had complete opposite experiences between the two schools.
The Jacksonville Jewish Center's Preschool was such a warm, cheerful and nurturing environment while the public school that my 1st grader was attending was very large with no sense of community within the school.

After touring MJGDS in late Fall, I realized the environment there mirrored that of the Preschool. The passion of the teachers and the sense of community within the school was quite evident.

Our minds were made up at that time that both our children would attend MJGDS this year. The boys have started and they are so happy.

There was no difficulty in the transition. We now feel at ease that our children are in a school that promotes a love for learning, respect for others and strong Jewish values."
