Physical Education

MJGDS provides a diverse program of skill building and physical fitness, with opportunities for students to participate in team and individual sports. ??All students attend three 30-minute Physical Education classes per week. The focus of all activities is to challenge each child to progress according to her/her ability. A commitment is made to instill a strong sense of fair play, as well as guide our students in the proper way to respond to both winning and losing situations.

After school sports and activities are offered to students grades 1-8. This program is designed to give our students a better understanding of teamwork and school spirit, and to keep our students active. This program is divided into 6-week sessions with an emphasis on one sport. The group will meet one time a week for one hour. Sport sessions include the following:

  • Cross Country Running

  • Flag Football
